When Courtney first called me about photographing her wedding there was lots going on.
Their wedding was initially planned for September but Brett's Mum, Kath, was ill so they decided to bring their day forward to March. After all, family is everything.
From that first chat we just clicked. Everything Courtney & Brett were planning for their day sounded amazing and I was so excited to be part of it.
You know when you meet someone and just think "Yep, we could be friends"... that's what happened.
There are so many things I want to write about this wedding. They had their share of sadness with Kath passing away a few months before the wedding and then stress with their venue changing due to the floods but then there was... tractors as the wedding cars, the groom going missing on the way to our location shoots, Courtney saying “sorry” more times than I can count (I even got three texts apologising for being stressed even though she was the least stressed bride EVER!) and the favours being a donation to the Red Cross Flood Appeal. What a fabulous idea!!
Brett, you’re one great guy with one great girl as your brand new wife. Courtney, I’ve loved getting to know you over the past six months and after seeing that disco ball at the house where you got ready, I just know we’ll be friends for life.
