These two are the best.
Catherine & Roger (or Sweens & Rodge to their friends) are one of those rare couples who you wouldn’t necessarily know were a couple until you were told. They don’t flaunt it (see what I did there Sweens!) and they don’t like public displays of affection but they are totally and crazily in love.
They were married at Pinnacle Valley Resort in Merrijig and it couldn’t have been better.
Their ceremony was held in a beautiful old barn and once they were Mr & Mrs, the three of us jumped in a helicopter.
Let me say that again. A HELICOPTER.
We flew up to the top of Mt Stirling, to Craig’s Hut, because it was the setting for Rodge’s all time favourite movie… The Man From Snowy River. And let’s be honest, it wasn’t a bad spot for photos!
It was so so awesome.
I could go on for hours about everything I love about these people and this wedding but I won’t. Less is more.
Rodge… you’re my other brother. We know each other so well. To most you’re the confident, funny guy. To me, you’re the determined, loyal, heart-of-gold guy. I truly can’t imagine my life without you.
Sweens… you’re one of my bestest friends. You have the kindest heart. You speak the same language as me. You laugh at the same things as me. You are the nicest person. And you just get me. I’m so ridiculously lucky to have you in my life.
I’m so happy I got to be there when you two chose to become one! May there be many more Lewis Sunday roasts ahead.
* Again, I had the absolute pleasure of shooting alongside my amazingly talented friend Christina from Chrisp Pictures. You can see her stunning photos from the day here.
This wedding was very special to me. Enjoy.
